I know, I start every post here with an apology lately, and I also know I haven't been to this section of my page in quite a while. But there is a reason. I would need six sets of arms to be able to do all the typing I would need to do to keep up dated, and more, to be able to keep up with the crocheting which needs to get done.
However, I don't have six sets of arms, and I don't type that fast anyway.
But I have a problem. My art simply isn't selling. I have been told I make AMAZING things, but no one seems to want to buy them. Normally, this wouldn't be much trouble, except now we are in a bit of a jam financially. We--like so many in Cali--were affected by the wildfires in November. We only lost a few possessions which were in a friend's garage-- she lost everything.
She has since gotten a place here in town, and is in recovery mode.
But recently, we have had a set back.
We got a small insurance payment, and put most of it into paying off a few bills and some of the rest of it, we put into buying a chunk of property, so we could hopefully be able to dig ourselves out of debt permanently. Everything was going about as well as could be expected until last Sunday, when we went to check the mail at the Po Box.
There was an envelope there with a letter claiming to be from a Secret Shopper company, and a check for almost 3K. The instructions were quite clear and specific, and we followed them as well as we could.
However, we were told today that the check we were sent bounced. The account involved has been emptied, and now there is a possibility of legal issues resulting from it.
I want people to pay attention to their mail, and if they get this letter too, DO NOT CASH THE CHECK!!!!
I wouldn't normally ask this, but if anyone could see their way clear to buy something, it would help clear up the troubles with the bank.
