Home Care Scheduler Position

Concerned Home Managers for the Elderly (COHME) is a licensed home care agency in operation since 1984 providing home health aides to older adults in their homes with a mission focused on providing excellent care to seniors and support to the home health aides. The agency is a small, non-profit based in lower Manhattan providing private pay home care services.

COHME, Inc. (Concerned Home Managers for the Elderly) currently seeks a full- time home care scheduler/administrative assistant.

Responsibilities include:

Assign and schedule home health aide staff to cases with guidance from the nurses and social workers.
Schedule on-call staff and coordinate with answering service.
Arrange for fill-in aides for those out sick or on vacation.
Verify that aides have checked in and checked out their time for their assigned client and ensure accurate reporting for payroll.
Assist to process all new home health aide job applicants and obtain and complete necessary paperwork.
Handle phone calls with prompt and attentive customer service.
Assist the Executive Manager and Office Manager with daily operation of office including filing and data entry.

Qualifications

HS diploma, minimum of 3 years’ experience in the home care field, computer literacy, good verbal and written skills. Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and scheduling program.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year

*Work with travel concierge and accountant as needed.
*Plan and coordinate family activities and events.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTER SKETCH:

*Worked in hospitality industry or worked for family office.
*Vault-like ability to maintain confidentiality and be ultra discreet.
