Bike was stolen last night from my carport. It is a dark green trek road bike with an attachment to run my husky mix pup.
Truly heartbroken it is gone but if anyone sees it, please let me know.
That’s the best/only picture I have of it.

One of the unexpected challenges of running my chocolate business from home is that I rarely cook for myself anymore.

For those who know me well, you know I used to cook for myself every day—and I truly loved it. But since my small kitchen has also become my chocolate workspace, I don’t cook nearly as often as I used to.

When I’m making chocolate, I can’t just pause and cook a meal. I have to put all my chocolate equipment away, cook, and then fully clean the kitchen again before starting chocolate production to avoid cross-contamination.

Because of that, cooking has slowly taken a back seat.
To help create better balance in my life (and get back to cooking nourishing meals), my goal is to build a small secondary kitchenette in my home dedicated to chocolate making. This would keep my production space separate and allow my main kitchen to be used for actual cooking again.

The good news is that the bare minimum to create this space is very achievable.

What I need to get started:
Stainless steel tables: $450–$500 (hoping to find used) (see pictures for exact sizes and styles)
Induction cooktop: $80–$100
2 Food-grade ingredient bins: about $180
Better lighting: $50

Eventually I’ll also need:
Large upright freezer (20–21 cu ft, frost-free)
Commercial-grade Vitamix (vita-prep 3)

Creating this separate workspace would make my days run much more smoothly and help me bring a little more balance between work and personal life.

If you’d like to help me get there a little faster, I’m accepting donations. (I’m also practicing accepting help—something I haven’t always been great at.)

Even small contributions—$5, $10, or whatever feels right—can help this space come together faster.

You can:
• Venmo or Zelle me (just write “kitchen” or add a kitchen emoji)
• Donate cash at the market
• Or, if you happen to have any of the items I’m needing and you’re no longer using, I’d happily give them a new home.

Every bit of support truly helps, and I’m so grateful for this community that continues to support my chocolate and my small business. Thank you all so much for making me feel loved every single day 💚🍫

Having chronic/seasonal pain, honestly sucks. While today has been needed and so beautiful (Chico getting snow is rare), it impacts me deeply. I don’t function well in cold or rain, the last couple days have completely drained me of energy.
At 15, I was diagnosed with raynauds, and soon after scleroderma. It was very rare for a 15 year old to be diagnosed with, especially 24 years ago. I left Illinois to avoid the frigid cold but still the Chico winters will still get me.
My health has drastically improved while living in CA but some days I still can’t fully function. It takes a real toll on me and my business.
So today I give myself time and space to let my body recover from cold. While I won’t fully heal, letting my body rest will give me energy later today.
Thankfully my male cat, Mikey aka Michelangelo, is here to make biscuits on me. Even if it doesn’t help, it is very distracting 💚

(Not my kitchen, but a girl can dream)

Some days I have to remind myself that I do not have create all my items every week. I want to, so there is more variety but it is just not realistic.
I am one person, I want balance in my life and I am working on creating that. It feels so good to take care of myself on a physical and emotional level. When I do that, my business thrives and turns out people are still happy.🥰
I have wonderful customers, you all supported me so much this past weekend and I cannot thank you enough.
This week there are so many items I can replenish because you all bought me out. I am excited to see what I can create while also taking care of me.

Reminder you can always place an order on my website. Link in bio

My Valentine’s Day menu for both the Wednesday 2/11 and Saturday 2/14 Farmer’s Market. Pre-orders welcomed and encouraged!

On top of my usual items, you can build your own variety box! All the flavors you love in heart/flower shapes, truffles and my candies orange slices (half dipped in chocolate).

I will have a specialty bar in either all dark chocolate or a layer of both dark and white chocolate. Each will have gently dried strawberries and rose petals.

Rose shaped suckers in various flavors as well.
