Food Truck Vendors Wanted!
This Memorial Day Weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday), we are looking for several different food trucks to take a daily shift in the parking area at Off The Hook Marina in Chickasaw, AL. Three Little Birds Smokehouse restaurant will not be open for the holiday weekend and we would like to ensure our customers have food options for a day on the water. Only one truck at a time will be needed as parking is limited during the weekend rush. If you think you would be a good fit, please contact Kate at 251-747-0567. Text message is fine. Join MPRD for "My Wish is to Catch a Fish!", a 🆓 youth fishing clinic taking place at Day Lake, Tricentennial Park on November 22, 2025!

Kids ages 4–17 will learn fishing fundamentals from expert anglers with the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo. Plus, before the lines hit the water, Mobile County Wildlife & Conservation Association and Mobile Baykeeper will clean up Day Lake, teaching our youth the value of conservation and caring for their environment. 🌿

🎣 Free cane fishing rods for participants while supplies last!

Such a fun free event to get those kiddos out on the water! Then bring them to Off The Hook Marina. We have everything they need and its always free to fish from the bank. No license necessary since its private property. Then hit the restaurant over at Three Little Birds Smokehouse for some dinner to go!

One thing we pride ourselves on at Mobile Parks and Recreation is coming up with quality programming that appeals to interests of all kinds!

This is why we are so excited to announce our very first 🎣 Kids Fishing Clinic 🎣, in partnership with the Alabama Deep Sea Rodeo, taking place on August 17 at Tricentennial Park!

During this event, children ages 5-15 will be introduced to all of the important elements of fishing, including casting, knot tying, learning about different fish habitats and more! Please note that this is a catch and release event, and participants are required to bring their own reel or fishing rod.
