Salaamu alaikum Muslim Made Market Family. I pray that you and your families are well and coping with the uncertainty of the times we are in. Know that I am fully aware of the concerns surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. These past few days we have been overwhelmed with so many reports and may be fearful, confused, and panicked. May Allah ease our fears and protect us all. I have been in deep thought considering what steps to take for our market event. There are so many things to consider, most importantly and above all, the well-being of our community members.
•With MMM being scheduled for May 8th, I have decided to postpone final decisions until the second week of April. Perhaps, and only Allah knows, by then we have a better understanding of what we need to do going forward. I will continue to closely monitor the recommendations of our local and federal governments in regards to social distancing and other precautionary measures. If a final decision is reached prior to our target date in April, I will inform you promptly.
•Until then and in case of a cancellation of our Ramadan market, and following our intention and goal to provide a space for businesses to succeed, we will be planning a Virtual Market for the end of April and an Eid Al-Adha event in anticipation of a safe and healthy summer season, InshaaAllah.
•Find comfort in knowing that we plan and Allah plans and He is the Best of Planners.
Be vigilant, be informed, be patient, and be well.
