Hanging baskets are an easy way to bring beauty to your patio, balcony, or anywhere you’re gardening. Pre-planted and hangs attached, all you need to do is decide which one’s coming home with you!

Gethsemane has a variety of annuals and houseplants available in hanging baskets, and they can be found in Annuals, Statuary, and the Greenhouse — just ask an employee to get one down for you and we’ll be happy to help!

Clematis, hostas, and irises are all doing their thing over in Perennials. Each of these plants has many varieties across all the shapes and colors you can think of, so just imagine the possibilities in your garden!

Get the irises while they’re still in bloom, or grab a clematis for a dramatic vining climber. Got a shady spot looking a little bare? Hostas are a classic option and happy with low light. All of them are ready to delight year after year in your garden!

We’ve got everything you need to garden this summer! 👨‍🌾

Gethsemane is sooo much more than just plants — our Hard Goods department carries soils, fertilizers and amendments, containers of all varieties, gloves, tools, and anything else you need to make your season a success.

There are a LOT of supplies out there, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just ask us!

Annual seasonal container arrangements have a new home at Gethsemane!

With the popularity of our “drop-in” containers growing each season, we needed more space to display them. In addition to the Annuals yard itself, these containers can now be found next to Statuary and Perennials on the north side of our business just across Victoria St.

Find rail boxes, round containers, and more — perfect on their own or for dropping into a larger decorative pot!

Planning a trip to the garden center? There’s more than a few ways to get to Gethsemane! 🏃🏻‍♀️🚗

🚗 Driving? We’ve got a parking lot.
🚌 Bussing it? Both the 22 and the 50 stop right outside.
🚊 Taking the train? The Red Line and the Metra both have stations about a 15-min walk away.
🚲 Biking? Follow the bike lanes up or down Clark, we’ve got bike racks in front of Herbs & Veg and next to Annuals.

Of course, you can always walk too!

No matter how you get here, just remember to do so safely. We’ve got plenty of plants for everybody — there’s no rush!
