Add this to your Seattle Summer to do list: Soft Serve from The Pastry Project 🍦✨

1. Chocolate Milk Soft Serve with coconut cake crumbles, sticky toffee sauce and rainbow peanut crunch

2. Emily and Heather! These two are the creative geniuses and kind hearts behind The Pastry Project

3. the second after her first bite - the joy! I had to capture it. She was so happy, it made me happy

4. Pups and kittens are welcome at the window too

5. I ran into one of the most incredible humans, Laura of the while snacking. Laura is so inspiring and has done so much to champion small businesses in Seattle and beyond

Emily and Heather are the amazing humans behind The Pastry Project. Together they're changing lives, and that's not a hyperbole either.

They are a "woman-owned social enterprise whose mission is to break barriers to employment to make prayer education more accessible" and they fund their mission and free courses with monthly baking kits, their pastry window and their soft serve window.

To do:
Grab a pastry at the window in the morning, have lunch and shop in the neighborhood and then come back for soft serve in the afternoon. That sounds like a truly lovely way to spend the day in Pioneer Square.

Seattle, last weekend was a dream! I don't think I can tell you all how much I love weekends like these. Where the weather is perfect, the people are kind, and the days are filled with friends and customers who feel like friends.

From customers who sought me out, wore my products to the fair or wore them out of my booth, to those armed with photos of your kitties with my handmade cat toy or pictures of your rainbows in your homes, stories with how things I've created have impacted your lives, my legs are still tired but my heart is so full.

To celebrate the very last day of AANHPI / APAHM Month, I'm on BuzzFeed! You can find me and my pretty products alongside the most amazing, creative and inspiring small businesses in this wonderful round up.

There are so many on this list that I admire, already shop from and a few that I never knew were AANHPI-owned too.

I'll link the article into my stories and pin it to a highlight so it's easy to find. Now more than ever before, it's so important to shop small and to shop intentionally.

And thank you to Lauren from Etsy that stopped by my booth at yesterday to say "hello" again! We met a few months ago when they invited me to their headquarters in Brooklyn. There were a few lovely people from Etsy that flew in from New York to walk the Seattle Renegade show. I hope they found some fun finds and were able to meet some of the incredible artists and friends that I know at this market.

Today is the last day for Renegade Craft Seattle! If you're in Seattle, you can find me and my shop in Magnuson Park Hangar 30 from 11-5 pm. 💗

I received a series of emails from a customer a few days ago that at any other time in my life, I think would have devastated me. Instead I took it in stride, talked to Andy and a few friends about it, and am moving past it as well as I can.

Owning a small business is absolutely positively not for the faint of heart. As a recovering people pleaser, I think age has helped a lot, but I think what's helped even more is hearing from thousands of other customers over the years what my products, have meant to them.

The memories, the moments, the joy, the compliments, the happiness that's tied to my work - that's what I'm holding onto for now.

This itty bitty girl, Olivia, is such a little sweetheart, and her Mom, Yasmin from half of is the reason why. I believe that kindness fosters kindness, and Yasmin is such a lovely human inside and out.
