Now that I'm back to work following hand surgery there's less time to simply sit and create. Last night I was able to find a few minutes for myself and this is the result.

I didn't know what I was doing when I decided to delve into floral arranging. Like most other things in life there are rules, like balance and flow. It was affirming to discover that there are actual terms to describe what I've been doing by feel.

When I got up to start my day the light was perfect to capture this image. Art should make you feel some kind of way; reclaiming these elements and giving them new life brings me joy.
