We ❤️ being a sustainable florist & event design company!!!

Here are our top 5 sustainable practices that help us create beautiful events that leave a smaller footprint on the planet.

💐 We source from local farms and even grow some of our own flowers. This cuts down on carbon emissions & is beneficial for bees & pollinators.
♻️ We NEVER use flower foam, which reduces microplastics & other harmful waste destined for landfills. We use chicken wire, Oshun packs, biodegradable & reusable water tubes.
💐 We compost our floral scraps with The Urban Canopy throughout the entire process, from design to event.
♻️ We own an extensive rental inventory of arches, chuppahs, pedestals, vases, and candles. Our clients do not need to buy from a marketplace & sell later
💐 We donate arrangements at no charge to our clients to give florals a second life after the big event.

Gone are the days of identical dresses that really never worked for everyone nor were ever worn again.

We’re here for bridesmaid style that feels personal—different textures, necklines, patterns and shades that let each person look like themselves while still feeling beautifully cohesive. Our bouquets are created to do the same: coordinated, not cloned.

A rooftop first look above the Chicago River, candlelight glowing against brick walls, and florals designed to feel classic without feeling traditional.

For Megan + Casey, we kept the florals loose, textural, and quietly romantic — white garden roses, thistle, anemones, lisianthus, airy greenery, and tall delphinium to soften the industrial lines of the space . M & C’s bouquets were designed to coordinate beautifully while still tailored to each bride’s individual style & floral preferences.

From bouquets at their riverside portraits to a ceremony encircled with floral meadows followed by a candlelit reception with tall stemmed candles & foam free arrangements, the decor was designed to feel timeless and personalized.

Chicago weddings will forever have our hearts. ✨

Just married magic ✨
There’s nothing sweeter than that first walk together — hearts full, flowers in hand, and an entire celebration for you starting around you. We loved creating this lush, romantic ceremony moment layered with trailing greenery, soft candlelight, and rich garden florals for the happiest newlyweds. Also, just like all of our events, the one was 100% foam free.

The beginning of it all 🌼

At five years old, I was happiest right here—in the garden, completely at home among the flowers. I didn’t have a plan or a vision yet, just a quiet love for growing things… and apparently a strong commitment to bangs and blue knee socks.

The path to building Anemone Chicago hasn’t been linear. There have been unexpected turns, pauses, and moments where I wasn’t sure where it was all leading. But somehow, I kept finding my way back here.

Now, creating eco-conscious florals for weddings and events feels deeply personal—like a return to something I’ve always known, even before I had the words for it.

15 years into Anemone Chicago, I’m still guided by that same instinct—working seasonally, designing with intention, and creating for moments that matter.
