Lord,
I pray for emotional, physical, and spiritual protection over all our kids.
Keep evil far from them, and help them to trust You as their refuge and strength.
I pray You will guard their minds from harmful instruction, and grant them discernment to recognize truth.
I pray You will make them strong and courageous in the presence of danger, recognizing that You have overcome and will set right all injustice and wrong one day. Help them to find rest in Your shadow, as they live in the spiritual shelter You provide for them.

Amen.

Saint of the Day
St. Martha
DOB: Unknown
DOD: Unknown
Canonization: Pre-congregation
Patron Saint of: homemakers, cooks, domestic workers, waters, waitresses, hotel employees
-Before Jesus entered Jerusalem, he visited with Martha and her siblings, Mary and Lazarus. Martha served, while Mary washed his feet. In this simple statement "Martha served" it is shown her devotion to stewardship.
-When Lazarus died, Martha took the active role to go out and meet Jesus to let him know what happened to her brother. At which point, Jesus comforted her by letting her know he would rise from the dead.
-Her dedication to stewardship to Jesus is the reason she is the patron saint of homemakers, cooks, and domestic workers.
