Both Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis are types of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). They cause inflammation in the digestive tract but affect different parts and progress in stages.
⚠️ CHRON’S DISEASE
🔅 STAGES
1. **Mild to Moderate** 🟢
- Symptoms: Frequent diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, and fatigue.
- Inflammation is present but not severe.
2. **Moderate to Severe** 🟠
- Symptoms: Increased pain, frequent and more intense diarrhea (sometimes with blood), significant weight loss, and possible anemia.
- Inflammation is more widespread and severe.
3. **Severe to Fulminant** 🔴
- Symptoms: Severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, high fever, and symptoms not responding to treatment.
- Inflammation can lead to life-threatening complications like bowel obstruction or perforation.

- **Genetics**: If family members have it, you might too.
- **Immune system**: The body’s defense system attacks the digestive tract.
- **Environment**: Diet, stress, and smoking can trigger it.
- **Infections**: Certain bacteria might play a role.

- Inflammation involves the entire colon.
4. **Fulminant** ⚫
- Symptoms: Severe diarrhea with continuous bleeding, severe abdominal pain, high fever, and dehydration.
- Requires immediate medical attention and may lead to life-threatening complications.
