Hi 👋🏼 it’s me … ann. The person behind the *jack. Thought it was a good time to pop in & re-introduce myself. The mega-corps are having crazy sales. Every news station & influencer is sending you there for great deals. And listen…I love a deal. But I also can’t stop preaching about shopping small. I love our neighborhoods and believe in having a vibrant, unique city full of cool, fun places to shop & eat. Most of those places are created by people like me. People who live here & adore our city. How keep fighting the good fight for shopping small. We employ our neighbors at fair wages, we pay our fair share of taxes, and we give back to our communities tenfold. Supporting local allows us to do more of all of this for our teams, our neighborhoods, & our city.
Thank you for 16 years of support! We’re so proud to be a part of all of your celebrations big and small .. from losing a first tooth to golden birthdays to the last day of school to the holiday season! Here’s to 16 more years of shopping local. ♥️

Happy 8th Birthday to our teeniest *play. This shop has been a journey from the start. At about 5pm the night before we opened my sister called my brother-in-law and said “I don’t think she’s going to open tomorrow.” … and that about sums up our ride for the first 3 years of this shop 😂. But here we are… 8 years in with a die-hard community that supports us in a legendary Chicago neighborhood with the cutest little mini-shop around watching another batch of kids grow up in their neighborhood toy shop.
