Reid Orchards We grow fruits & pecans in southeast Kansas, & sell some year-round at our on-farm retail market.

Crop Sales Seasons:
Thornless Blackberries: June 12 to Aug. 4, pick-your-own
Peaches: July 8 to Aug. 15
Pears & Asian Pears: Aug. 20 to Nov. 12, harvested
Apples: Aug. 22 to July 14, harvested;
Sept. 12 to Nov. 2, pick-your-own
Pecans: Nov. 12 to Sept. 22, harvested & cracked
Asparagus: April 10 to May 30, harvested

Baxter Springs, KS will hold a Christmas Market on Sat. Dec. 13, so if you go, drive just 15 miles west on Hwy. 166, then 1/3 mile south on 95th St., to our farm & buy the world's best pecans.    We now have many freshly-harvested, cracked pecans for sale, both 'Kanza' pecans and selections from my husband Bill's pecan breeding program.  All these pecans have large nuts, thin shells and great taste, and I give taste samples.

   Our pick-your-own apple season ended on Nov. 2, but our worker Hannah Helwig and I harvested over 3000 pounds of apples last week.  These are stored in large bins in our big cooler in our pecan building, and I'll sort out of these bins into trays of #1 and #2 apples all winter and spring.
