It was brought to my attention that the last picture I posted of the scarf I knit didn't really come off as a scarf, so here is my son wearing it. (He gave me permission to use his image.) I think he's happy with it. 🥰

Here's the end result of what I've been working on for my son. It's an almost 6 ft long scarf that he can wrap around and round and feel all cozy even though he probably won't get much use out of it this winter since we're getting so close to the end of it. The important thing is that it's made him happy. I'll get back to work over the weekend.

It's a lazy Sunday. Perfect for spending some quality with that book you keep putting off. Do you remember where you were in it? What are you using for a bookmark? I've been guilty of using receipts, old lists, basically whatever is handy, but now I have a pretty bookmark to keep it marked.

Who else here still reads physical books, not just digital downloads? There's something so satisfying about words printed on paper and bound together in your hands. A friend of mine asked if I could make these page holders for her and I was happy to find another book lover. What's your preferred way of reading the written word?

Today is a very low spoons day (if you don't know Spoon Theory, it's a good thing to look up) so I'm spending it watching videos to learn new techniques. I'm looking forward to having the energy to get to making everything in my head and then sharing them with you. Much love!

This is the beginning of a scarf that my younger son has asked me to knit him. My kids don't ask for a whole lot at their ages, so when they do, I try my best to do it, especially when it's something I can make. So all of my other work has been put on another burner (not necessarily back) while I get this done. Balance is something I struggle to find (I get obsessive with my various interests), so that is definitely an ongoing goal for this year.

We got a real, true snow day here, which is unusual for my area. The kids have been loving it. I even went out and threw a few snowballs, though I've mostly been enjoying it from my couch.

And now these guys are drying until I can pour the next layer of resin. I don't know how much I'll be able to get done in the next few days because it's supposed to be snowing and very cold and my workspace is actually in the garage, so fingers crossed these will dry in time for me to get them finished.

I'm trying something new. This is literally my first attempt. You'll get to see my process as it gets better and I learn more. I'll probably hyperfixate, so they'll be available soon. Friends that don't mind some imperfections will be getting gifts of stained glass style suncatchers. 😁😂
