Just in case you were planning to hit the sales at Target or Boscov's or E. J. Korvette tomorrow morning, allow me to instead point you in the direction of the Philly Armory on 23rd St. south of Market, where the holiday version of the Punk Rock Flea Market will be underway at 10:00, hosting my finely curated selection of books. With some of the outstanding collections I've acquired over the last couple of years, this has to be the most stellar selection I've had to offer in my ten years of doing these shows (a tiny sampling is pictured below). You'll find plenty of good lit and poetry, lots and lots of Vonnegut, Plath, Orwell, Bukowski, Morrison, Kafka, Hesse, Brautigan, Sartre, Atwood, Borges, Baldwin, et al; a wide array of non-fiction, vintage hardcovers and paperbacks, and a generous helping of gift-quality art and coffee table books, some still sealed in plastic. The market is 3 days, Friday to Sunday, 10-5; I will be there Friday and Saturday only. Hope to see a few of you there!
