If you're signing up for a class this fall, here's who you'll be learning from. Wendy has been teaching knitting and spinning at Ewe and I for years, and what students love most is her patience — she'll slow down for exactly as long as you need and never make a beginner feel behind.

Brad teaches weaving with the kind of quiet enthusiasm that makes even the most technical parts of the craft feel approachable, and he genuinely lights up watching a first-timer make their first project. Say hello to your inner monster (or gremlin, or feathered weirdo, or horned little wanderer).

We just added a very special class to the calendar: **The Monster Within**, scheduled for October 24 — and it's already almost full.

This is a hands-on needle felting class where you let the wool lead. We'll cover nuno felting for skin and eyelids, wire-wrapped fingers and antlers, wet-felted tails, and (if time allows) some seriously clawsome feet. No pressure to make something cute. Beastly is just as welcome.

🧶 Beginner-friendly — some felting experience helps, but you don't need any

Beginning Knitting with Wendy is built for true beginners — cast on, learn the knit and purl stitches, and leave with the foundation to start your first real project, all with Wendy's patient, encouraging guidance in the room with you.

Granny Squares Galore is perfect if you've got the basics of crochet down and want to build real confidence with color, joining, and pattern — plus the deeply satisfying feeling of watching a blanket come together square by square.

We could stock every yarn on the market. We don't — and that's on purpose.

Every skein, needle, and notion on our shelves earns its spot because it works beautifully, feels good in your hands, or helps you finish the project you're actually dreaming about. That's the difference between a big-box aisle and Lewis County's only local yarn store: someone has already done the picking for you, so you don't have to wade through a hundred options to find the right one.

Quick heads up before the month turns over: our new store hours go into effect this Saturday, August 1st. We shared the update last week, but wanted to give you one more reminder before it kicks in, especially if you're used to our old schedule.

August Hours: Tuesday–Saturday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Same shop, same yarn wall, same good coffee next door — just a schedule that fits the season and the team a little better. Come see us!
