Today is the last day to visit the ReStore in Cheboygan. All items are FREE to the public until 5pm! We want to genuinely thank you for the support through the years and assure you that while our store is closing, we are continuing to focus on building and repairing homes in and around Cheboygan! Just a reminder that tomorrow May 28th almost everything in the ReStore is 75% off, and then Friday May 29th all items are free! Thank you for letting us serve you for many years at the Habitat ReStore in Cheboygan.

Make sure to stop in to the Cheboygan Habitat ReStore to take advantage of the final markdowns! Today is a great opportunity to shop for your next great find for 75% off. As we announced earlier this week, the ReStore is closing permanently on May 30th. We are no longer able to accept donations and the items in store will be marked down weekly as the list attached shows. If you have any questions, please call us at 231-348-6926.

Retail businesses nationwide are struggling to find employees and cope with the the impact of increasing online sales. Habitat ReStore is no different. Given the continued forecast of declining revenue and increasing costs, Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity has made the difficult decision to pivot away from ReStore operations.

The Cheboygan store will consolidate into our Petoskey location in May, with final store closure on June 27, 2026. Please check our website or page if you plan to visit, since hours may fluctuate during the shut-down process.

Given the closure schedule, we are no longer able to accept donations in Cheboygan and the last day to donate items in Petoskey is May 30. We encourage you to donate your gently used furniture and home goods to alternate resale organizations. Last dates to use store credit is May 30 for Cheboygan and June 27 in Petoskey.

We sincerely thank all those who have donated to, volunteered and shopped at ReStore over the last 20 years. We hope you will remain involved in our work of building homes and community through volunteering and financial support.

The Salvation Army in Cheboygan has been doing everything they can to assist those dealing with the flooding. See the post below if you need help.

We have been receiving inquries about flood kits. If you are in need of a flood kit, please stop by our Social Services Office. Our hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
