Only two more weeks for walk and wade trout trips on our stretch of the Cowpasture!! The Cow is the cleanest river in the state, easily one of the most beautiful, and has been producing bigs on sulphur dries and hoppers all month!

Big win in the ACC Tournament—and shoutout to Angler Ambassador Ryan Colsey for helping lead the charge and earning All-ACC honors!
When he’s not on the field, Ryan’s on the water chasing trout with a TFO Blue Ribbon 9’ 5wt—a great all-around rod with smooth casting, durability, and a feel that’s tough to beat. We’ve got it in the shop.

Fishing report:
Water is low, so stay stealthy—but temps around 60° have fish eating. We’re seeing:
• Stoneflies, caddis, yellow sallies & sulphur mayflies
• Hoppers & chubbies up top
• Midges, rainbow warriors, splitback sulphurs & perdigons below

There’s still some great trout fishing left!

The Angler will be hosting our tent again at Foxfield this Saturday, April 25th! We will be set up in the vendor area by 9:00am.

This Foxfield we are bringing a wide selection of our newest spring items from Criquet, Tom Beckbe, Orvis, Simms and others. We will also have great stuff for your day at the races from hats and sunglasses to Turtleboxes, tote bags, coolers, shirts, vests and more. It looks like it may rain, and we'll have raincoats and outerwear too!

UVA starting attackman Ryan Colsey is officially part of the Angler crew. Coming off a big weekend vs. Duke (3G, 1A), he brings that same energy from the field to the water.
