Our mission is to provide environmentally responsible buying options for outdoor gear and clothing.

The first outdoor gear and clothing consignment shop in Charlottesville, featuring the products you need to get outside and do the things you love. 30-70% off new and used high-quality outdoor gear and clothing for hiking, biking, camping, & paddling. High Tor Gear Exchange is a combination of our love of the outdoors and our desire to transform the way we buy stuff, in this case, how we buy the c

lothes and products we need to spend more time outside. The inspiration for the shop came about in part as we sought a way to have a positive impact in Charlottesville, as well as to create a movement towards more conscious consumption. Our goal is to give the Charlottesville community access to high quality used outdoor gear and clothing, and to create an avenue for participation in the circular economy. We support local individuals, businesses, and nonprofits who are stewards of the environment and advocates of outdoor exploration. WHAT WE DO

High Tor Gear Exchange is Charlottesville's first home for ethically-minded outdoor gear and clothing consignment. We sell quality new and used gear and clothing, and feature outdoor products crafted by local artisans. We connect members of the Charlottesville community with the resources needed to get outside, and provide a gathering space for outdoor and environmental programming and events.
