Throwback Thursday!! Beautiful empowered artisans Lily, Zin, and Araceli! The heart beat of Empower for Hope Charlotte!

These ladies are queens of my heart. They work tirelessly to fulfill orders we have, 450 masks for a kids to run free at camp, skirts for Charlotteans coming out of their shells, table runners to make family gatherings burst with joy, and masks for at-risk seniors getting care packages with love.

These women are gentle and kind. They support each other and cheer each other on, no matter their differences. They know there are artisans on the other side of the world that are not as fortunate as they and they want to help them as well. They have huge hearts and compassion because of what they have experienced themselves.

We encourage you to step outside your comfort zone, get to know and listen to someone who looks different than you. We all have much to learn and true growth when we are willing to let down our guard and be authentic with me another.

We love it when hearts are joined together in this wonderful circle we call life! Julie became an Empower for Hope skirt customer years ago and now she is employing someone from to help her with her business! We started out with women trained by the talented folks and we believe so much in what they are doing, connecting seamstresses with local businesses like us and ! Can’t wait to see what they do together!!

I’m honored to be working with the amazing women ! I love that they care about women empowerment and providing opportunities for refugee women here in Charlotte and in Burundi.

We continue to work together to bring beauty to impoverished women with the proceeds of these sales.

We are so excited for another collaborative drop with !! The last drop sold out in 15 minutes! A limited quantity of dresses and skirts drop tomorrow 7/20 at 10am on the Twig and Twine Style website.

We recently had a skirt party pop up with the fabulous Natalie Papier ( https://instagram.com/home_ec_op?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y= )

She is a Charlotte-based interior designer with a California flare! In the almost 3 years she’s been here she’s connected with the Charlotte community in so many ways! Look for big things from her coming soon and follow her instagram.

We met just before the pandemic and found out our love for all things bright and colorful is our common bond. She was our first cushion customer as well making a fab cushion for her mud room.

We can’t thank her enough for hosting us and introducing us to her amazing group of friends!

Can’t wait to see what’s next!
