The unveiling of these soccer goals tomorrow is going to be a special moment!
Leonel was a terrific student at Briarwood Elementary and had a strong passion for the game of Soccer. He always had a smile on his face and being the great big brother that he was, would always walk his little brother to class every morning.
In a heartbreaking tragedy, Leonel, his mother and his sister lost their lives in a terrible house fire last year.
These goals were built to honor the life of Leonel and his family. When we were approached to help turn the field he once played on, into a place for him to always be remembered, we were honored for the opportunity to help contribute any bit of positivity we could to this tragic situation.
We hope the faculty, students and the Sanchez family love the new goals.
Thanks again to Brian Geoghegan, Beth Marshall, Briarwood Elementary Faculty & Staff, and the entire Charlotte community that has supported this Family & School. @ Briarwood Elementary

This is great to see!!! Glad you and your family love your goal Posted • When I was a kid my mum used to walk me 3 miles to the closest soccer field so that I could practice. I wasn’t allowed to kick in my back yard because I always snapped the wooden boards on our home fence or shot the balls over into our neighbors yards 😂🤦‍♂️. Now that I have kids of my own I’m excited to have found locally owned . My little guys love the goal and the quality is amazing. We are going to have many fun years playing in the back yard with this thing. (And I will probably still be kicking balls over the fence 😩) Go !!!
