A little Mother’s Day teaser from the shop.

This year we’re adding handmade rope bowls from Gabrielle of Ginger and Juniper, , a local maker who creates all sorts of lovely handcrafted goods. She’s also the organizer behind the Mashup Markets we attend, so this feels like one of those nice full-circle small business moments.

The bowls are available now in-store, and by special request for online or phone orders. We can build a gift basket for you, or you can pick a bowl and fill it yourself with chocolates, tea, truffles, barks, or whatever sweet little things feel right.

We’re starting with Mother’s Day, but the larger idea is to keep growing this into a women-owned small business collection going forward.

We’re honored (and honestly still a little stunned) to share that The Secret Chocolatier was named Small Business of the Year at the 2026 Partners in Tourism Awards by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority.

This started as a family table at farmers markets and grew into the little chocolate shop we run today - built on craft, hospitality, and the kind of experiences we love sharing with both visitors and locals.

Thank you to our team, our customers, and our partners across Charlotte who keep showing up for us. If you’ve ever brought our chocolates to a friend, a wedding, a meeting, or a convention, you’re part of this win.

Valentine’s is in three days and we’ve been in full production mode.

Sharing one of my favorite builds from this season: our chocolate rose bundle. Each rose is hand-crafted in-house, wrapped like a bouquet, and meant to land as a real “wow” moment.

We’re tight on turnaround this close to the holiday, but I still wanted to show the work. If you already have an order in, thank you.
