There's a lot of confusion out there about the difference between an organizer and a housekeeper, and between a personal concierge service and a personal assistant.
An organizer differs from a housekeeper in that an organizer is concerned with clearing away clutter and creating structure in your home or office, not with daily maintenance. Typically an organizer would come in once, for a few hours to a couple of days, to help you clear away the excess and work out storage solutions for the rest. We don't care if your baseboards are ever scrubbed, because cleaning and organizing are two very different skill sets.
There's a good bit of overlap between a personal concierge and a personal assistant, but the biggest difference is the client load. If you want someone full time who is focused solely on your needs, with no other clients, who can travel with you and be available at any time, you need a personal assistant. The advantage to a personal concierge service is that you don't have to keep someone on staff. Because we work with multiple clients, you can book just the services you need, without having to worry about payroll, taxes, or benefits. Where an assistant is legally classified as an employee, booking a personal concierge is as easy as booking a hair appointment.
