Juneteenth has always been my favorite holiday—way before it was ever federally recognized.

Growing up in Charlotte, North Carolina, the House of Africa Juneteenth celebration was the one time I truly saw myself reflected in my community. It wasn’t just an event—it was an experience that brought African culture, African American history, and the wider African diaspora to life right in front of me. That yearly moment shaped my pride, identity, and understanding of freedom.

The Juneteenth flag represents freedom delayed but not denied—liberation, resilience, and the ongoing journey of Black people

This journey has been fueled by passion, purpose, and a deep commitment to serving our community through health, wellness, education, and empowerment. I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and excited to continue growing alongside an amazing team.

I look forward to helping lead the next chapter of growth and innovation for our Prevention Department and PowerHouse 2.0 Drop-In Center as we continue creating safe spaces, impactful programs, and meaningful change in our community. 💙

Music has always been medicine for me, so being able to share my art in a space filled with plant-based wellness, spoken word, healing practitioners, herbalists, and intentional energy feels right on time. 💫

If you know me, then you know Juneteenth is my favorite holiday. 🖤❤️💚 Growing up in Charlotte, the House of Africa Juneteenth Festival was one of the few times I got to truly see the Black community come together in a powerful way — celebrating our culture, our history, and the beauty of the African diaspora all in one space. That feeling always stayed with me.

So this year… we outside ALL weekend. ✨

Friday we’re in Concord performing & vending.
Saturday we turning up at the CLT Lock Meetup Juneteenth Afterparty at Common Market South End.
And Sunday… Canna Boss CEO & Osain Sun are bringing the vibes to the pool. 🌊☀️
