Maria of asked us what the proper invitation etiquette was for divorced parents and we're happy to answer. ⁠

When trying to include parents of the happy couple on the invitation that are divorced consider saying one of the following:⁠
⁠
OPTION 1: "The parents of ..." (this is a generic wording to include all parents without having to specifically name the parents)⁠
⁠
OPTION 2: "Mr and Mrs John Smith along with⁠
Mr and Mrs Jackson Thomas and Mr and Mrs Samuel Johnson request the honor of your presence at the wedding of their children..." (with Mr and Mrs Jackson Thomas and Mr and Mrs Samuel Johnson being the divorced parents and their new significant others)⁠
