Her: “I have a surprise. We have to go to the mall. I got us Cavs tix for Sunday and we need Cavs gear to wear to the game.

Me: I got plenty of clothes to wear. I always overpack.

Her: Yeah, but you dont have Cavs gear Brian.

Me: I find a shirt I like and go to pay for it.

Her: no, I got this Brian.

Me: 😊
Also me: 🙄 *thinking silently* this only applies to NBA and MLB. I only wear Dallas Cowboys, Tarheel and Aggie gear.

I’m walking 100 miles for The March of Dimes 👟

🟣 1 in 4 black men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime.

🟣 Black men are at a higher risk of getting prostate cancer and dying from it.

🟣 Because of this, Black men (and their doctors) may want to consider increasing screening for this disease.

🟣 Black men could benefit from joining clinical trials and other research studies related to prostate cancer.

Consider donating $1 per mile walked today to this cause that is near and dear to me. I did 4 miles. That’s less than your morning Starbucks.

Anthony David + Me + Walt P in 2009 (I believe)

I spent about an hour on the phone last week with Walt trying to convince him to go to Chicago with us this weekend for my bday, talking A&T vs NCCU and him telling me how he was tired and had been working so hard. He travelled a ton for work. When I was in TN and traveling for work too we would talk on the phone on the road and in between appointments. He was a super intelligent and just a damn good dude.

Last week He told me that he looked up one day and his twins were in high school.

He shared how he wanted to take time and spend more time focused on them and his wife.

We got off the phone talking more Aggie vs Eagle junk and even looked forward to Dallas and Pittsburg trash talking this season.

We planned to catch up at the game this past weekend and He said he would probably go to Chicago with us.

Saturday I got the call that he had passed in a car accident.

Your life as you know it can change in an instant.

RIP Walt P 💔
