Woody, our beloved Master Gunsmith, celebrated his final day of work with us on the 30th 2026

Woody has been an integral part of our shop since joining the team back in 2000.

During his time with us, Woody repaired thousands of fi****ms and helped countless individuals with his exceptional expertise and wizard-like knowledge of his craft.

Woody will be deeply missed by everyone here at Hyatt Coin & Gun.

Woody now rides off to his next adventure of enjoying his days, close with his family, and doing everything he deserves to do after decades of commitment and loyalty.

The High Standard Model 10 is a true piece of fi****ms history from the late 1960s. This compact bullpup semi automatic 12 gauge shotgun was originally designed for police use particularly for entry teams and close quarters situations. Measuring around 26 inches overall with an 18 inch barrel it was remarkably short for its era while still delivering full power 12 gauge performance. The gas operated action made it one of the earliest American bullpup shotguns and its unconventional layout placed the action behind the trigger group for better balance in tight spaces.

The AN/PVS-2B night vision scope was a first-generation passive device used by US forces during the Vietnam War era. Known as a Starlight scope, it amplified ambient light from the moon and stars to let soldiers see in the dark without giving off any infrared beam that could reveal their position. Weighing around six pounds with four times magnification, it mounted on rifles like the M16 or M14 and proved valuable for guarding patrol bases at night even though its bulk made it tough to carry on long patrols. By modern standards it looks big and heavy, but at the time it was cutting edge technology that helped troops spot threats in low light.

For those that are unaware, Mr. McDowell is following his dreams and moving to Montana to enjoy even more adventures and good times.

Logan has been the esteemed General Manager at Hyatt Guns Shop for 3 years, and his hard work and sacrifice has shaped us into what we are today. We are very grateful for the time we had with him and know he will continue to be successful anywhere he goes.
