" SNAP will pause — but local support isn’t. 💚
Thanks to Mecklenburg County and our five participating farmers markets, we’re launching a Special SNAP Incentive Contingency for November 2025 to make sure families can still access fresh, local food during the federal SNAP funding pause.
Here’s how it works:
🥦 Any customer presenting an EBT card at a participating farmers market will receive $50 in SNAP tokens — no transaction required.
🧺 Use your tokens to buy any SNAP-approved foods from local vendors.
♻️ Tokens can be saved and used on another market day (they’re market-specific).

South End Farmers Market
Uptown Farmers Market
Charlotte Regional Farmers Market
There’s no registration, no paperwork, and no cost. If you receive SNAP benefits, you’re automatically eligible.
Our goal is simple: keep food access flowing, support local farmers, and make sure no one is left behind while federal benefits are on hold. 🌽❤️
