TAYLORSVILLE, N.C. — The Alexander County Sheriff’s Office arrested 24-year-old Mario Mendoza Cazarez, a Hispanic male from Taylorsville, on Monday, July 7, 2025, for violating North Carolina s*x offender residency laws. Deputies charged Cazarez, a registered s*x offender, with one count of unlawfully being on child premises after discovering he was living too close to a school in the county.
