Equipment Donations Now Open Again!

We are excited to announce that we are accepting equipment donations again for the 4th year!

If you have old outdoor power equipment or small engines taking up space, we’d love to give them a second life. The equipment does not need to be running, but it must be in salvageable condition.

We accept things like:
Riding mowers, push mowers, snowblowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, generators, power washers, boat motors, tractors, compressors, ATV’s, dirt bikes, log splitters, wood chippers, go-karts/buggies and more.

❌ No fully electric equipment please!

Some of these machines are repaired and sold, some are picked over for used affordable parts to offer customers, others are donated to those in need, and occasionally we can use them on our little farm!

Drop-offs highly preferred

Pickups available case-by-case for a fee

This winter we are seeing a lot more power outages than in recent years. Our shop is flooded with generators and we wanted to share a few tips to keep your machine happy and ready for you when you need it.

1.) Do not store your generator with a full tank of gas! Your machine should be stored with a can of ethanol free fuel in the tank. If a storm is coming, fill a clean, dry, gas can with premium grade fuel from your local gas station. If you do not end up using the fuel in the can, add fuel stabilizer to it. Treated gas is good UP TO 2-3 months. Storing untreated fuel or even large amounts of treated fuel in your machine can potentially lead to a host of issues with your fuel system.

2.) Do not overload your machine! Most manufacturers recommend a run time of 8-12 hours at 50% capacity. Running your machine at max load for long periods of time will lead to a disaster (including a fire) Check your machines manual for specific details.

3) NEVER run your machine indoors, in your garage, or in an enclosed space. This can lead to a carbon monoxide emergency and it can also be a fire hazard.

4) Check your oil! Check your oil when your machine is cool and make sure it is not dark in color or low on your dip stick. Regular maintenance is a must! Even if your machine is used infrequently, oil still needs to be changed/replaced as it ages and becomes less efficient over time.

** photos below shows a 6 year old 5500w Generac that was unknowingly overloaded. The machine actually caught fire and is unfortunalty beyond repair **

We have a lot of folks ask “what can I do to extend the life of my mower?” And the answer is simple. Keep up on maintenance, and WASH YOUR MOWER! Grass is very acidic and rots your machine incredibly fast. Giving your mower a good rinse including under the deck is super important and will help prevent rust and rot.
