The only photos I was able to capture from the Grand Island’s Downtown Farmers Market @ Railside yesterday bc WOW I was busy🐝 with the stem bar I decided to bring back last minute!

I was so nervous to only bring loose stems, no pre made arrangements, and on top of that the market was cut short due to (exhibit b) weather. Of course we were there until noon slinging stems, 🤪 but with all that being said THANK YOU!

Thank you for coming out and weathering the storm with us. Thank you for bringing your creativity with you. Thank you for your support of our farm and the Downtown Farmers Market.

Aren’t these dahlias stunning? No filter, no edits, just raw beauty.

This year we are so thankful for our collaboration with the incredibly talented Tina Lindner at Dirt Road Dahlias.

Rodents (gophers, moles, voles, mice) ate many of my tubers before I dug what was left of them and still haven’t found a solution to grow them efficiently here. In the meantime I gave Tina my good, non eaten tubers (and many mysteries 😂) and we’ve been going through them all and planting them at her farm! This is all in hopes that one day I can grow them here.

I do have about 20 growing here in grow bags, but a majority of the dahlias you’ll find in our bouquets are actually grown by Tina in Central City.

I believe it’s super important to be completely transparent in this industry, and giving credit where it’s due!

I’ll be helping her sell her tubers at the end of the season so be sure to look out for the sale if you’re interested in growing your own! We’ll be shipping nationwide! 🙌🏽

The beautiful zinnia has always been my favorite flower, so I’m constantly looking for ways to extend its vase life.

While every flower appreciates fresh, clean water, zinnias absolutely depend on it. If your vase water starts looking cloudy, it is completely normal. Simply dump it out, give the vase a quick rinse, refill with fresh water, and enjoy your blooms for even longer. 🌸💛
