What's that big circle in the middle? Is something wrong with it?

No! My lovely Japanese Cherry Blosom is perfectly safe and normal. The discoloration is part of the process.

A circle like this is called a "partial gel" and is common in cold process soaps that get a little too warm in the mold. Sometimes a soapmaker avoids a partial gel by warming the soap once it has been put in the mold. The result is a "fully gelled" soap.

I prefer to not let my cold process soaps gel, but sometimes that means risking a partial gel like this one.

That said, I know with artisan soaps, people are paying partially for the aesthetic. That's why I will be listing this soap as 20% off!

The very first batch of Cold Process RAW breastmilk soap!

About 75% percent of the liquid in this recipe is pure, fresh breastmilk (mine!)

Cold Process protects all those lovely nutrients and vitamins, but it also needs a longer time to cure to allow the oils to fully saponify, so sit tight!

This is plain, no scents or additives. What natural scents would you like to see in addition to the unscented?
