Dahlias are slowly coming in… Such divas. They take their sweet time, keeping us waiting and wondering when they will finally put on their show. But when they finally do, they are always worth the wait. ✨

It has been a little while since I shared what is happening in our garden🌿

Summer has been quietly filling the garden with all kinds of blooms. Zinnias, alliums, dahlias, and even tomatoes sneaking into the flower mix.

Sweet Williams may not be the biggest or showiest flowers, but they are some of the hardest-working blooms in the field. Long-lasting and available in beautiful shades of pink, raspberry, burgundy, purple, and white, they bring so much charm to both the garden and the vase.

We may be a micro-scale backyard flower grower, but when it comes to peonies, we cannot resist collecting them🌸 We only have a single row planted, yet somehow there are more than 20 varieties growing in our little plot, from classic herbaceous peonies to hybrid Itoh peonies like this Canary Brilliants ✨

Week 21 of 2026. So many flowers are getting ready to open during the crazy heat wave, but now with all the rain and chilly temperatures, it suddenly feels like summer is slipping away. Heaters are back on, sweaters are back out, and hot coffees are making their return. Brrrr ☔️☕️

We are surrounded by woods, and finding sunny spots for flowers is always a bit of a challenge since most prefers full sun. But every now and then, we find flowers that are perfectly happy tucked into the shadier corners of the garden. And columbines are one of them ✨

I used to think some columbines with larger flower heads looked a little too alien-like for me🫣, but then I discovered the Barlow varieties. Their blooms are mostly double, like tiny fluffy pompoms with star-shaped petals. I started them from seed a few seasons ago, and they come back strong every year.

Every spring, I find myself stopping to admire them gently nodding atop their long stems in the flower beds. They feel like whimsical woodland fairies, perfectly at home in our garden🧚🏻‍♂️

I planted alliums in our landscape long before I ever dreamed of starting a flower business. Every year around this time, I love watching those big lavender spheres bouncing and swaying through the garden.

Their tiny florets feel like little fireworks - so whimsical and festive✨

Now that I am thinking about it… I may need to plant even more giant alliums this fall💗

I had a coupe glass sitting out from making negronis the night before, and could not resist having a little fun wit it and a handful of lily of the valley stems🤍✨

Little did I know we had such valuable flowers growing in our garden🤍 Lily of the Valley came with the house, and they quietly thrive in our shaded, wooded corners where not much else seems happy.

No wonder why they are so treasured in bridal bouquets - delicate little bells, the sweetest fragrance, and somehow both elegant and woodland-like at the same time.

I only wish their blooming season lasted longer!

For Marni❤️

Flowers that absolutely celebrated autumn through their colors, textures, and movement. Marni was one of our very first farmers market customers, so it felt especially meaningful to create the flowers for her wedding day. We are truly honored to have been part of such a beautiful celebration.

And yes — these blooms traveled all the way from Long Island to New Hampshire ✨
