Something different today.
I've spent the last year writing a book. Not a cycling book. Something much more personal.
Entropy: A Monster in the Mirror is a psychological journey into the demon inside all of us β€” the one that's been shaping your choices, your character, and your life since the beginning.
It's not a horror. But you will get chills.
It's not a comedy. But you'll laugh your ass off.
It's not a drama. But you will feel sad.
It's about yours. It's about mine. It's about life.
🎧 The full audiobook is completely free. No strings attached. Just kick back, listen, and enjoy the journey.
New chapters drop every Friday.

I am such a nerd! Spent all day yesterday working on VBA code to create a spreadsheet that would count through power and cadence values in real time at 1 second intervals (to find the torque value) - Then convert the torque into perceived resistance - that was all fine and dandy, but the tricky part was writing an algorithm that predicts the future value so it can ramp up or ramp down to that resistance. In other words, if there's a resistance spike from say, 3 to 9, I don't want it to be immediate, but instead count up from 3 to 9 in 1 second intervals: 3-4-5-6-7-8-9. Once I got that working, I noticed that the values would swap annoyingly back and forth every second from normal incongruencies like 3-4-3-4-3-5-3-3-4 So I had to write another algorithm that would ignore those changes unless the changes were durable, so the resulting values would be 3-3-3-3... After I got that working, I created a sound effect to trigger you to respond to the change in resistance. Whew!
