'Twas the night before garage sale, and all through the house,
Not a person was resting, not even a spouse.
The posters were waiting with markers and tape,
Soon they'd be hanging on corners in every shape.
The bags full of clothing were piled up so high,
While boxes of toys seemed to reach for the sky.
The empty boxes sat ready, all stacked in a row,
For customers' treasures they'd soon help to go.
The tables stood waiting to head out at dawn,
To display all the bargains from morning till morn.
The canopy shades were leaned by the wall,
Prepared to bring shelter and cover it all.
We sorted and stacked and arranged with great care,
Hoping tomorrow would bring bargain hunters there.
With price tags and tape rolls still dancing in our head,
There's plenty to finish before we crawl into bed.
But when morning sun rises and customers appear,
We'll be ready with bargains and plenty of cheer.
Then we'll laugh and we'll shout as the first shoppers hail:
"Happy bargain hunting to all, and welcome to our sale!" 🏷️🛍️☀️
