I know yesterday was not the happiest of days here at Serendipity Farms. Some days are harder than others, and yesterday was definitely one of them.

But then there are little moments like this—the quiet, simple moments that remind me just how much I love where I am in life. ❤️

Even on the difficult days, I can look around at these animals, this farm, and everything we have worked so hard to build and know that I am exactly where I want to be.

The hard days will come and go, but moments like this make every bit of it worth it. This is my happy place. This is home. 🐐❤️

Today is not the best of days here at Serendipity Farms.

Someone came onto our property, deliberately stayed in areas where our cameras could not clearly see them, and left one of our gates open. Because of this, our animals got out, and our young turkeys are now missing.

These turkeys are still young. One is slightly larger than the others and has a noticeable wing defect called “flip wing,” which should make that turkey easier to identify.

You may have avoided the cameras, but you left your Bud Light cans lying on the ground behind you.

I have a very good idea who was responsible. Unfortunately, according to the police department, there is not enough evidence at this time to prove who did it.

What happened today was not harmless. Opening a gate at an animal rescue and sanctuary puts innocent animals in danger. These animals depend on us to keep them safe, and now we are left searching and worrying about whether our turkeys will make it home safely.

Shame on whoever did this.

More cameras will be installed throughout Serendipity Farms within the next 24 hours, including coverage of the areas that were previously out of view.

PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR OUR TURKEYS.

If you see young turkeys wandering in the Cedar Grove area, please do not chase them. Keep an eye on where they go if possible and contact us immediately.

When we started the Second Chance Market, we had a dream of creating something that brought our community together, supported local small businesses, and helped us continue our mission here at Serendipity Farms. Seeing people come through our entrance and support what we’re doing makes all the hard work worth it. ❤️

❤️ WE REALLY NEED OUR COMMUNITY TO SHOW UP TOMORROW! ❤️

Tomorrow is our Second Chance Market, and we’re asking everyone who can to please come out and support us and the amazing vendors who are taking a chance on our little market.

We have some wonderful vendors coming out, and they put a lot of time, money, and hard work into preparing for these events. A good turnout truly matters to these small businesses.

Serendipity Farms will also be set up, and every dollar we make from our booth goes right back into caring for the animals in our rescue and sanctuary. 🐐🐷🐰🐾

We know times are hard and not everyone can spend a lot—and that’s okay. Even coming out, walking around, sharing this post, inviting a friend, or purchasing one small item can make a difference.

We are working so hard to keep this market growing, but we cannot do it without our community showing up and supporting it.
