This one is for my witchy parents. My children decided to get quite philosophical this morning. At 7am, while I was still half asleep. Half of this video is me trying to process where these big thoughts are coming from and why we're having this conversation at 7am lol. I also ask questions to keep them thinking. This is a long video, however, I wanted to share as it is a real life situation handled in the moment. This is not being shared for you to pass judgement on me. Moments like these can be very difficult for witchy parents, especially if you do not have a witchy counterpart. With that being said, I have never forced any type of religion or belief on my children, nor have I prevented others from teaching (respectfully of course). I give them options, different angles and perspectives, and I make sure they know that not everyone believes the same way, and that my way is not concrete either. I allow them to make their own decisions and draw their own conclusions. They too are on a path, even if it hasn't been long. They also want to understand and sometimes have big questions. I do my best to answer objectively, but its not always easy. I also try to think like a 6 year old, which proves to be challenging at times as well. I'm not sharing to tell you how to handle things, I just wanted you to know that if you're dealing with very open minded children who like to question, who like to challenge, who like to believe different things from day to day... you are not alone. There is no right or wrong way to answer these questions when they come up, all you can do is your best to support them. Even at 7am, even before coffee, even when your child wants to reincarnate as a cow lol.
