Baltimore bluegrass legend Hazel Dickens would have celebrated her 101st birthday on June 1st. We at Appalachian Bluegrass Shoppe are deeply grateful for the lasting legacy that Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard created through their music, advocacy, and contributions to the bluegrass and folk communities here in Baltimore and beyond.

Their influence continues to inspire musicians and listeners alike, and we’re proud to honor the remarkable impact they’ve had on the music we love.
