CJ representing the Merchant crew at LA’s Lake Balboa this weekend with this 2.5lb Tilapia he landed using a pack bait he concocted in his kitchen. We’re excited to get him out on the boat once the shad spawn ends and he can hammer the bass all summer. 😎🔥

Castaic Lake post-spawn transition is in full effect, with conditions making fishing more of a challenge and seasonal custom baits coming into play for those getting consistent results as the lake changes daily. continue to be the best producers, with 2.75” - 4.75” soft plastics slow-fished near the bottom on dropshot and Carolina Rigs.
