I've been rockhounding for over 60 years and it's time to disperse my collection. I started as a child, my dad gave me some galena he'd mined as a teenager, a quartz cluster and a trilobite fossil. I started a rockhound club in Canada when I moved to a specimen-rich area in Central BC. When I made plans to move to the United States, a lot of my rocks came with me. Even today, attending rock, gem a

nd mineral shows ranks very high on my favorite things to do. Many pieces will be left to our daughter however she can't possibly take it all. I have hundreds of mineral samples from modest quartz and agates to highly desirable pieces that I've collected along the way through acquisition at auctions, garage sales, self-collecting and more. I am still out there, swinging a rock pick and a metal detector but seldom bring anything new home. They're just so much fun to find but leaving pieces for others to find, and maybe be inspired to become rockhounds too is even more fun.

Large size Eden Valley Wyoming / Blue Forest petrified wood. Nice section of Ginko limb with chalcedony pseudomorph. Really well preserved exterior, too with loads of character. It's been cut on both ends but not polished. Solid piece!

Lot of two good-sized pieces of Fluorite; purple Fluorite from China, and green Fluorite from Mexico. The Chinese is a little bulkier and shows nice cubic habit. The Mexican green is in massive form but displays a vitreous luster.

Awesome find, you're looking at a specimen of Barite from Elk Creek, SD with crystals coming and going every which way. Just look at this dandy specimen with twinned terminated crystals on the top, going all the way through to the bottom of the piece. Very neat under black light it fluoresces well especially the clay areas. Lots of photos and videos please be sure to see them all.

Petrified Wyoming Palm wood, polished in both ends. Nifty piece shows agate silicification (chalcedony) on in spots in the outer bark, which has awesome definition. There are ancient horizontal cuts from boring beetles and some tiny intergrown crystal shapes. The shape could be described as 1/3rd round.

Giant terminated Golden Rutilated Quartz from Brazil. Terrific inner phantom crystal, a mesmerizing, impressive large piece of Quartz! Small area on the bottom has been cut across so it stands by itself. Golden threads of Titanium Oxide radiate in acicular fashion from multiple angles in masses and individual strands throughout.

Mined out and no longer available, I acquired this in the early 1980s.

Amethyst cluster; this specimen is Canadian Amethyst from the Thunder Bay area of Ontario. The quartz crystals are sprinkled with tiny Hematite balls of various sizes which is typical of the mineral from this area. Old stock, never displayed. The colors are very vibrant.

Bicolor white and olive green Heulandite, a zeolite mineral sample from India. I purchased this 30 years ago when zeolites were just starting to become popular. There is a third mineral attached. If you look closely you'll see the tiniest tabular pink crystals, Stilbite near the top of the host rock. What I love most about this specimen is the green-trending-to white is visible within the largest crystals. They're not two separate colors in most places.
