Second round 4A playoff at Burns High School I am glad that I have been giving this opportunity to send the team down the hill and onto the field this season, they are headed to Brevard to play the 3rd round next Friday. Good luck Burns High School.

Last night I had the pleasure of sending those burns bulldogs onto the field for the last home game of the 2024 season. I have truly enjoyed this time spent on the hill. I found this picture earlier today and if the era ended or the tradition isn’t continued next year I hope this picture stands as a testament to the good times we all had.

Most if not all of us have experienced the loss of a classmate, I believe I was in the 8th grade when I lost the first of a few. Unfortunately and tragically this last week just outside Burns High School the students felt that loss again.

I am Sad, however proud to come from a community where even the biggest of rivals come together when tragedy strikes, and even though West Lincoln isn’t a big rivalry I wanted to share this short video from that school just a few miles over the road.
