From the CEO and CFO of Rollin Truck Stop (For immediate release)
Hello Drivers,
Our hope is that this message finds you safe and Blessed. First we would like to apologize on behalf of everyone here at Rollin’ Truck Stop for a few reasons. First: for the fact that it may have seemed that we just stopped communicating with you via social media without a reason, and second: for what will become clear through this message.
We here at Rollin’ Truck Stop over the last year have become increasingly more alarmed at the behavior of certain social media site’s employees and their CEOs. Specifically that of Facebook and Mark Zuckerburg and Twitter and it’s CEO Jack Dorsey. This behavior has affected us here at RTS personally as well as affected the country we love. At the end of last year Facebook decided to censor an ad we boosted that advertised our “Make Trucking Great Again” campaign. They did this without any explanation. As you might have guessed this resulted in massive financial lose to RTS, and because that campaign benefits you it also resulted in massive financial loss to you, the American Truck Driver.
Furthermore, it is apparent that Mr. Zuckerburg and Mr. Dorsey are using their sites to wage war on freedoms Americans have held dear for more than 245 years. This is unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the owners of an American-owned company. We are working closely with our legal team (which Rev is a part of) and elected officials to bring those guilty of these egregious acts to justice.
RTS has always been a place for the free-thinker, open and welcoming to intelligent debate from any belief. These acts from two very small-minded, dictatorial bigots is, at best, insulting to this philosophy. It is for this reason that until further notice RTS will not be participating in any social media activities on Facebook or Twitter. We are working with our marketing team to find social media sites that respect freedom and at that point we will officially shut down our page on Facebook and Twitter. We hope to still stay in contact with you and hope that you would also like to stay updated on what is happening here.
