I have only posted on this page 4 times this year. I had created it a couple years back as a place to share the non hair related things I enjoy to make or buy and sell. Then this page became a blog of sorts.

Lately, Facebook has become a place that I enjoy less and less. There are some things about Facebook that I think are very good. However, I’ve been struggling letting certain things bother me as well. If it were not for my salon page, I could more easily just shut down my personal page for a while and take a break. The salon page is necessary and somewhat useful; even though I don’t use it enough for its full benefits.

All of that aside, I have been praying about a word for the new year. I have been doing this for a few years now. A few weeks ago, the word quiet came to mind. And several times recently the Lord has really impressed this word on my heart.
Quiet my thoughts, quiet my anxiousness, my emotions, and on and on and on.
What about you? Does anyone else do this? What is your word or what words have you claimed in the past?

While we are waiting, hoping, pleading that some sense of our old normal would return; what are we allowing God to do in us?
I want to believe that life here on earth will one day be as it was a year ago, but many moments I am just not sure of that. I am, however, sure that God remains on the throne and is working ALL things for good, and I fully trust in Him to care for my life.
No matter the outcome of the many things going on in our world today, I pray we will seek to love God more and trust Him with ALL things. ❤️

I may or may not be pulling out some Christmas decorations....... and listening to some Christmas music.....😬 even though outside will be fall decorations for at least 30 more days. This is 30 days earlier than I have ever wanted to decorate before.
I honestly think it’s funny how crazy it makes people when Christmas stuff is out in the stores early and when people decorate early.
So if it bothers you, why??? You don’t have to buy it and you don’t have to put it up at your house early so what does it matter if other people get pure joy out of it?
Just trying to help y’all think about something besides Covid and the upcoming election - Christmas is coming too!!!! 🎄
