My latest creation, sent it out last week. The customer wanted a resin coffin done in "Cinderella blue" with lots of sparkle and shimmer to it. I think I nailed it. Thoughts??

It brings me a lot of excitement and joy to work with other small business owners and helping them to create unique and custom items for marketing and promoting their own businesses.

During my time of doing local farmers markets (thanks Covid era), I got to interact with a lot of amazing people including the others there like me. We were all just trying to share our passion for the things we love making and doing with others and trying to draw attention to those efforts for growth of our business and to thrive within that space.

Along the way I've had many opportunities to create these custom items and be part of a network of small businesses helping other small businesses. I know it's the wrong season for these (is it really though), but some of my favorite things I've made are the collaborative creations I've done with the mini imaginative artist in my home. I love seeing how her brain works and expresses itself creatively. The first one she described what she wanted me to create and I showed her ideas and images and we tweaked it until it came to life as she imagined, including using glow-in-the-dark vinyl. The second one she literally drew a picture of what she wanted and I recreated it and surprised her with the final product. The monocled ferret is still one of my all-time favorite designs (despite all the layering, lol). She's a creative visionary and though both of these were from at least 4 or 5 years ago, she's still very artistic and has honed those skills even more. Maybe it's time for another collab! What do you think?

Side note: when we did each of these designs, she chose a charity and a percentage of any profit from orders of these designs were donated to that charity. ❤️

You know it's Texas when ⚾️ baseball and 🥎 softball season starts in February!

For many years I was part of the coaching staff for my daughters teams and made many a uniform for our teams and others. Since "retiring" from coaching, now I get to be a team parent and have created some fun "fan gear" as well!

I've been at this business going into my 10th year. I've had highs and lows, times of busyness and months on end where I haven't touched a thing. I've done personal items for myself, commissioned work for friends and random strangers on the internet and in person markets. I've worked with fellow small business owners and created items to promote them, I've worked with non-profits to help raise money and I've raised money on my own from my sold items and donated portions of the profits. I've created personalized memorial displays, items for special moments in people's lives and the day to day things like baseball uniforms.

I've done all of this as an addition to my "normal" job. I do it because it is something that I LOVE to do. It is what that I WANT to do. It stretches my creative muscles and tickles my brain in just the right ways. Small businesses really are a piece of their creators heart.
