I’ve sneakily been out of town the last couple weeks and it’s so good to be back and playing with flowers again! I’ll post about our trip soon but in the meantime, here are a few photos of today’s delivery complete with 15 blessing bouquets that are heading out to spread some cheer 💕

Flower Fact Friday…
I realized recently that “flower farmer” is a bit of a misnomer and I think we need to petition to be “bouquet farmers” 😅

When you think of a traditional farm, they topically grow one or two “crops.” But most flower farmers grow 10+ because we aren’t growing for the specific crop, we’re growing to make a bouquet and that requires foliage, ideally something with a spike shape, large flowers, and small flowers. There are many crops each with their own care needs.

How do flower farmers survive the summer you ask? By staying inside as much as possible! Here’s a quick look at a week in the life of a flower farmer:

Sunday night: pick flowers

Monday morning: spray with foliar feed to ensure the flowers are getting the nutrients they need to bloom
Monday afternoon: make bouquets

Tuesday: flower delivery day 💐

Wednesday night: pick flowers

Thursday morning: pull weeds, tend to struggling flowers, repair drip lines, etc.
Thursday afternoon: make bouquets

Friday: flower delivery day! 💐
