To our valued skate and surf family! It is with the heaviest of heart that we announce something we have been fearing for the past couple of months…We have officially closed our doors permanently this weekend. Due to declining sales and demand of our product in the region, as well as internationally, we are unable to maintain the outlet which has suffered from a great loss over the past few months. We simply are not unable to sustain our small business footprint with the current market climate. We made all attempts to secure our business, but due to parallel competition and falling demands of our product, we are unable to keep it running any longer. We deeply appreciate our association over the years, and regret the events which have made this decision necessary.
Although the business portion of Waves n Concrete have come to a closure, please don’t be fooled, the movement is not going anywhere! We will continue to support efforts to participate in events and fundraising measures, to further enhance the development of surf and skate culture. We were heavily involved in supporting the encouragement, fundraising, and saw installation of 2 skateparks located in Southern California. We have another project that has been long in development as well, which we will continue to focus on. We additionally are looking at ways to foster philanthropic efforts to support up and coming surfers, skaters, and organizations, to train, develop, and pave the way for opportunities to advance our culture and values of “daring to create”. Our website will slowly transition from shop to blog, however, all of our clothing and accessories can still be made special order at low cost option, whereas any and ALL proceeds above the cost to produce and ship will 100% be donated to support organizations, athletes, and events to further promote our industry.
It's been a great 4 years! A lot of gratitude for the brand and the people. It is amazing to see how we have all grown together! We recognize that without the support and loyalty of our customers and sponsored talent, we could never have held out this long. See you out on the water or on the pavement soon!
