Today is Mexican Mother’s Day. Sunday is American Mother’s Day. I say Mother’s Day is worth way more than just one day. So let’s all celebrate through the weekend!

Yellowstone is vast. But even if you only have one day to explore, do it. It will leave you wanting more and hopefully encourage another trip.

Deep down I’m also happy that it means we’re that much closer to the end of 2020. I’d say I’m kidding but I’m totally not - return to sender please! ▶️

The past couple of weeks I’ve been torn on what to do about school.
My two kiddos are completely different with unique needs.
My daughter is a very sweet introspective young lady that follows the rules and needs her alone time.
My son is this larger than life personality that thrives on social time and being pushed.
Neither thrived with distance learning. My daughter got lost voice wise and lost motivation. My son retreated mentally and broke down which was not him often. Their reactions were so hard to swallow and I vowed to make things better no matter what.
Then the moment came and we had to make a decision to stay with public school or find other options. We chose other options. Then days before school started panic and regret set in. The anxiety and worry set in. I teetered on what to do. There were so many unknowns. So many negatives to all options. There was added expense for one child. More time commitment for the other. Was I making the right decision?
At the end of the multi-day battle in my head I came to the conclusion that I can only make the best decisions based on what I know. And I’ve come to terms with giving myself grace in these times.
Something really great happened today. My son told me, “Mom, I’m really glad you made that choice for me. Today was a good day.”
Have faith in your self and be flexible in life.

It’s no secret that there’s no manual for parenthood. But after, tackling becoming a wife, career woman, mom to two children, and then a full-time working parent, I’ve realized that with parenting at any stage it’s more like practicing the art of Agile Methodology. You’re constantly testing and evolving into new challenges, new solutions, trying to find balance between motherhood and self – and then just when you get comfortable, boom, $h!t changes again!

We’re all really just bootstrapping parenthood. Or as I like to call it, “Mommin’ It,” or “Daddin’ It” everyday.

The goal of this blog & retail store is to unite us in the good, the bad, and the wonderful craziness of parenthood. Here you’ll find real stories from real mommas, tips, tricks and some good old fashion humor to help us navigate life. Find stories and content that aren’t just window dressing but rather pieces that connect us through common daily occurrences.
