Salem in Ballwin United Methodist Church, P.R.A.Y., and the national committees and associations of Protestant faiths are excited to announce that national virtual programs are returning for 2026. Sessions begin October 11th. These programs will be beneficial in making religious emblems and awards available to all youth, especially those who are having difficulty finding an in-person class or congregational support near them.

These classes are open to any Protestant, Non-Denominational, or Independent Christian youth in any organization, grades Kindergarten through 12th, interested in fortifying their experience through their faith. Classes in each of the five program levels are offered and will be presented over Zoom. There is room for 2,000 (400 per program offered) total students.

Registration is free and open until September 30th.

Another great year at Camp Akela for our youngest cubs in the books! Highlights included:
🏹 Archery
🔫 BB guns
🔥 Campfire and s'mores
🗺️ Way finding
🗡️ Whittling
🚗 Pedal cars
🧩 Learning about codes
🌲 Hiking and planting basil
💦 Polar swim
And lots of games, songs, silliness, and fun with friends in the outdoors. We even survived a rainstorm on Saturday.

Now it's time to shower and rest. What was your favorite activity?

Our 🐯, 🐺, and 🐻 are have a great time at sunny Camp Akela! We had a beautiful day one and look forward to our campfire tonight!

Crossover Camp was a success! ⛺🌧️

Our Scouts powered through rain and storms and made the most of every minute. Some tents stayed dry, some got a little wet, and a few turned into ponds! 😄

Despite the weather, the Scouts fished in the rain, went geocaching, created parachutes and keychains, and worked on their cooking and knife skills. We also celebrated several Scouts as they ranked up and took the next step in their Scouting journey—a great accomplishment that reflects their hard work and dedication.

Most importantly, they made more memories with family and friends that will last a lifetime. Thanks to everyone who helped make it a great weekend!
