Summer is here! We've made a small adjustment to our store hours.

🌾 Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
🌾 Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
🌾 Sunday: Closed

One tiny adjustment for the summer: we will no longer be closing midday for school pickup 🥳 We will remain open continuously throughout the day Monday through Friday.

In addition to Orchard pellets, we are bringing back Timothy hay pellets!

We have a limited number of bags in stock to see what our customers and their animals think before deciding whether to make them a regular stock item.

Orchard grass pellets can be a convenient forage option, if you're looking to add fiber to the diet, reduce hay waste, or provide an easy-to-feed alternative to traditional hay. They can also be soaked for livestock that prefer a softer feed.

Fowl Pox Vaccine 💉

If you picked up chicks from our first March arrivals, they're now about the age where some flock owners choose to administer the fowl pox vaccine.

Fowl pox vaccine is typically given between 8 and 16 weeks old, ideally four weeks before they begin laying eggs.

Fowl pox is a viral disease spread by mosquitoes and direct contact with infected birds. While vaccination is completely optional, some poultry owners choose to vaccinate to help reduce the risk of outbreaks, especially in areas where mosquitoes are common.

If you're considering it, do some research online to see if it's the right fit for your flock 🙂 If you choose to vaccinate, we offer the vaccine in store.
