For over 20 years, Book of Shadows had been North East Ohio’s premiere source for metaphysical books, supplies, gifts and resources. We carried a complete line of statuary, incense, tarot, gemstones, books, ritual and altar supplies, athames, jewelry, and

countless other mystical sundries. The store's long time clerk, Toni, was an extremely well loved and respected elder of the local metaphysical community. Her knowledge in many areas of the occult was unsurpassed. She remained an ardent student of the craft until her passing in 2020. The store’s owner, Marx, is an artist and craftsman who creates one of a kind items of beauty and metaphysical intent to enrich and empower your life. In addition to featuring these hand made ritual tools, we also stocked a curated selection of metaphysical curiosité imported from all over the world. Book of Shadows catered to a multitude of magickal paths and traditions, from Wicca and Shamanism to Kabbalah and Left Hand Path. Whatever their destination, many people's journeys began here.

Some happy news for a change. Some of Toni's book collection, which was stolen a year and a half ago from where it was being temporarily stored after the shop closed, have been recovered!
A person (or persons) who shall remain anonymous at this time, reached out to me and said that they happened upon the books in their travels and recognized the name plate and wanted to see them returned. So, they made arrangements to get them back to me. I am told that there are several totes that have been secured and, true to their word, the first tote has been received! I have hopes that more may be on the way soon.
My deepest gratitude goes out to the person(s) who facilitated the return of this irreplaceable legacy of a beloved and remembered friend. I believe karma rewards people for their deeds.

In addition to Toni's book collection, a rare zodiac wall plaque was also stolen. It is about 3 feet across and very heavy (cast plaster). If you see it, or any of the books, for sale somewhere, please contact me, or Canton Police.

Today is the LAST DAY for retail sales at Book of Shadows. All merchandise is 50% off. All fixtures are priced as marked. We will be open from Noon until 4pm. There is NO LIGHTS and NO HEAT in the building. Please DO NOT BRING CHILDREN.

Looks like next Tuesday will be relatively warm and dry. So, I'm going to pencil in one more sale day for TUESDAY, March 1st, from NOON until 4pm. This will absolutely be the LAST DAY the store will be open. Again, there will be NO HEAT and NO LIGHTS, so please DO NOT BRING CHILDREN. As before, all merchandise will be 50% OFF the retail price, and all fixtures will be priced as marked.

After this, all remaining stock and fixtures will either be sold online, or to local businesses in bulk deals. Then the building will be emptied and will go up for sale.
